Legacy draws its inspiration from golf course communities, with many homes backing onto a golf course, lake, or lush green space. The community features The Homestead (central gathering spot with coffee shop, meeting rooms, fitness centre, and boardroom), The Heritage (13,000 sq ft amenity centre with a large indoor playground, sand volleyball court, patio, event space, and multi-purpose gym), and The Arbor (park with bandstand, sports courts, skateboard and scootering area, and natural playground). Legacy also has a waterfall that cascades into a fishing pond.
The Legacy Homeowners Association offers six world-class amenity spaces included in residents' annual fees. The Heritage is a 13,000 sq ft facility with indoor playground, sand volleyball court, event space, fitness equipment, and gym. The Homestead features a coffee shop, meeting rooms, fitness centre, and boardroom. Legacy Central includes a natural playground with slide, climber, and swings. The drive to downtown Calgary takes approximately 25-35 minutes depending on traffic. For transit users, the On-It regional bus service serves Legacy and adjacent communities, offering direct service to Somerset-Bridlewood LRT station.
