Search Aspen Woods Estates real estate is located on the western side of Calgary in the city’s SW quadrant. The community names are often referred to as simply Strathcona, Christie and Aspen. An extension to Strathcona, called Springhaven, was developed in the late 1990’s. Development begain in Aspen in 2001, which extends westward beyond Strathcona & Christie, enjoying occasional mountain views. All three neighbourhoods are close to Edworthy Park, Glendale Athletic Park, and the Westside Recreation Center. There are both public and separate schools in the area. The predominant housing types in Aspen Woods are single detached homes and townhouses, making it ideal for families. This part of the city is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Home owners occupy roughly 95% of the units in Aspen Woods and 5% are occupied by renters. Most homes in this neighbourhood were constructed since the year 2000, during its most significant housing boom
