Beautiful Lake! I love that the park is clean and spacious. While there is security around, I appreciate that you’re free to set up your towel and spend the day without tons of rules/regulations. It feels safe, with lots of families around. The beach is shallow, so it’s very easy with kids. If you forget floaties there are a number of nearby places to buy them. There are change houses and washrooms, and the beach is just steps away from some delicious restaurants, cafes, and ice cream spots. It feels like a real beach in the middle of the prairies. We love bringing our bikes to ride along the many trails, and have found some great AirBBs within walking distance of the lake. There is also a spot nearby where you can rent jet skis by the hour. Sylvan Lake is a great place for families — for a weekend or even just an afternoon!
