ust a few months ago a friend of mine moved to the NW quadrant from a townhouse that was located fairly close to the the area to which you're moving. Her townhouse was a little west of 19th Street, north of 8th Avenue but south of 16th Avenue / TransCanada Highway (in the northeast quadrant). She had a very unhappy experience there, primarily because she had terrible neighbours (young guys who carried out nosiy and dangerous repairs on their car just outside of her unit at all hours of the day and night, etc.). On the other hand I have another friend who lives in a townhouse somewhere around Forest Lawn / Penbrooke. He is happy where he is. I guess it depends on the luck of the draw to some extent (who your neighbours are at any given time, etc.).
