Hawkwood is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by Country Hills Boulevard to the north, Sarcee Trail to the east, John Laurie Boulevard to the south, and Nose Hill Drive to the west. Established in 1981, the community is served by Hawkwood Elementary and St. Maria Goretti Elementary Schools. As an extremely family friendly community, the area offers many green spaces, parks and playgrounds. In addition, single detached homes make up 91% of the community’s housing, though the community offers a mix of housing options, including townhouses, and condominiums. With Crowfoot Crossing close by, residents have access to all the shopping and amenities they need. The neighbourhood’s location, and the fact that it is bounded by many major roads, makes it easy to get from one side of town to the other, or head west to the mountains!
