We did most of the downtown west end walk but ended up doing it in two parts due to rain. Just when we stopped to purchase sandwiches to take to Prince's Island Park, it began to rain, so we took them back to the hotel. After our dinner break, the skies cleared, and the sun reappeared, so we went back out to continue our walk. Due to the lost of time and momentum, we deleted the McHugh Bluff Park part of the walk. After visiting Prince's Island Park, we walked along the river to the Peace Bridge (unique and pretty in the late day sunlight), detoured for a food festival, and continued the walk. We enjoyed walking around Calgary -- a clean, attractive, and safe city. We had sunlight until 9:00 when we visited -- how nice!
