Country Hills Village is an icon in Calgary. There is definitely no place like it. You go in the door and suddenly think, "I landed in Europe. How did that happen?" I went to look for some daisy trim for a child's dress. Did they have anything like that? Not only did they have what I needed, but they had it in multiple colors and sizes.....and lots of it, on a roll, not little pricey packages! I went home with lots and lots of lovely trim for future projects. The amount of notions and trim and accessories for sewing is overwhelming, to be honest. It's just that Mr. Fabricland carries a very very skimpy line of this kind of thing...and it's expensive.....that's what I was used to here in yyc. Of course they carry fabric of most kinds, particularly for drapery, upholstery, etc. but they also have fleece, cottons and very nice selection of linen fabric. I know it's not your average chain shop and you have to drive a bit to get there. Totally worth it. Nice staff, although some might appear a bit grumpy. They sure know their stuff.
