irdrie Alberta is a great place to live for many reasons This review will cover the good and the not so good based on my experience First the good Airdrie has a real sense of community People are generally friendly and it feels like a small town even though it is growing fast There are many family friendly neighborhoods like Cooperstown Kings Heights and Willowbrook The city has lots of parks pathways and playgrounds which are well kept For shopping and daily needs you have almost everything you need here with stores like Superstore Walmart and many local shops The commute to Calgary is very common The location right off the QE2 highway is a major advantage for getting to the city quickly Now for the challenges The biggest issue for most people is the commute to Calgary Traffic on the QE2 during peak hours can be very heavy and accidents often cause long delays Housing is more affordable than Calgary but prices have risen a lot in recent years Another point is that while Airdrie has many amenities you still often go to Calgary for specialty shopping major events or certain restaurants The wind can also be quite strong here Overall Airdrie is an excellent choice for families and commuters who want a community feel Its a growing city with good services and parks Just be ready for the traffic if you work in Calgary In summary I would recommend Airdrie to others It offers a good quality of life for the price
