Our Philosophy at The Think Sun Preschool The central focus of our school is your child. Every child will feel secure and validated. Offering art, music, play and intro-French, our program prepares each child to read and write through our enriched activities. Our School Art We delight in developing our students’ creativity, imagination and confidence in trying new activities. Each art activity is carefully designed to prepare our students for kindergarten and beyond. Music We develop imagination and creative movement in our music program. Our much-loved biannual concert productions enable our children to showcase their achievements and shine. Intro French We prepare our students for bilingual or French immersion kindergarten through daily counting, days of the week, colours, greetings as well as songs. This early introduction enables our students to easily transition to French or bilingual kindergarten. Play and More The playroom is a vital part of our program. The playroom is where your child will acquire the necessary social and independent judgment skills to develop confidence in making good decisions and most important, have fun while learning. We also incorporate science, technology, math into our program in fun, creative ways that enrich their young, bright minds. About Us The Think Sun Preschool Teachers Maureen Khallad has been a preschool teacher since 1989. She also has many years of musical training prior to teaching at Think Sun. Over the years she developed her own musical education program for preschoolers which enables students to enjoy making music, listening to music, and best of all using the best instruments on earth - their voices. Jane Hall has been a preschool art teacher since 1985 and she has taught with Maureen since 1989. Jane has completed many courses in art as well as early childhood development. Jane believes strongly in preparing her students for success in Kindergarten.
