Have you ever wondered what a wolfdog looks like? Or how they act? What makes them different from wolves in the wild? Discover all that and more at Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary where the wonderful staff and volunteers work to increase public awareness and education about wolfdogs and wolves in the wild. They welcome visitors to experience wolfdogs in person and learn about their unique nature, how we can reduce backyard breeding, and the connected importance of wolf conservation. The Sanctuary is located on 160 acres of land near Cochrane, Alberta and has a current pack of resident wolfdogs and adoptable wolfdogs, all with different wolf content levels. The Sactuary is open to the public Thursday through Monday from 10am until 5pm so you can learn more about these amazing animals. Due to the sensitive nature of the wolfdogs, the minimum age requirement is 6 years old. The Sanctuary offers a variety of tours, including an Interactive Tour, Intro Tour, and a new General Admission option. All proceeds from the tours directly fund the sanctuary and its continued rescue efforts. You can support the wolfdogs through their online store where you can also purchase merchandise and tour passes.
