TRUGUY STEFAN STARHORSE THE SOUND OF LOVE Tru is an Ambassador of the Heart, a Poet, Author, Music Messenger, and a Singer-Songwriter with a voice that soothes the soul. Tru, our featured artist in October will be creating a musical adventure with LOVE as its focus. He is joined by some talented artists, and together they aim to create magic for us that evening. "Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy. Music is the electrical soil in which the spirit lives, thinks and invents." -Ludwig van Beethoven JAMES PENDELTON James hails from the northern reaches of BC, Canada. He is a soul-searching songwriter, that has travelled all over Canada, the US and other parts of the world. James' intention is growing into a deeper acceptance of each moment. He explores the medium of music to channel his creativity, connect with his emotions, and connected with others. Music pulses along with every moment of his life: it is a place of security and a home for James, through all of life's changing waters. James has had the pleasure of performing at festivals and concerts, open mics, in hospitals, at weddings and funerals and more. He writes and plays original music on acoustic and electric guitar, with influences from psychedelic and rock, pop, electronic, folks, blues and Americans. KATIE RILEY Katie loves to sing! Singing from an early age she has always managed to share her gift through fun concerts, competitions, annoying family members and performing in bands. These days you'll find her singing to her Yogi's in Savasana, and occasionally still annoying her family members! Katie is originally from the UK, a stone's throw from Manchester. She moved to Canada in 2013 and has been loving living in Cochrane Alberta. She teaches yoga at Alchemy Yoga there on Sunday and Monday nights. Katie is also a massage therapist and is passionate about helping others find peace and relaxation in this busy world. *Fun fact - this year Katie realized she has driven the same amount of time on the right side of the road as she has on the left! SARAH CLARK Sarah has been guiding others through yoga and meditation since 2009. She is a lover of the visionary dance between worlds and finds that alchemy bowls create a powerful tool to assist in one’s ability to access altered states of consciousness. For the Alchemy Sound Bath, Sarah uses the power of sound as she takes the students on an inward journey to access, explore and witness their multidimensional potential. It’s in these sessions where there can see deeper layers uncovered, revealed and possibly accepted. The potential side effect can be healing, heart/brain coherence and a greater love of self. Sarah bridges the gap between creative expression as a visual artist and mysticism as she’s been mentored by the Spirit’s of the plant, animal and mineral kingdom’s. Sarah lives on a magical 80 acre farm NW of Cochrane Alberta. Living close to the Earth is her medicine and she weaves this into her work. RYAN FLOOD Ryan has performed with Tru on many occasions. One such occasion was when he was a part of a music improvisational band called Wawatay rallied together by Tru. The highlight was when Wawatay performed at the Sangha Festival of Medicine in Cochrane for an enthusiastic audience. Ryan has a passion for Native Flutes. He is also a fine craftsman and has made steel tongue drums out of propane BBQ cylinders. In addition, Ryan plays a Rav-vast, a unique type of Hand-pan melodic rhythm instrument. Whatever he plays, he brings the sound of love and passion to his performances. RHONDA CLARKE AlivEmotion Music & Movement “To dance means to decide in the moment, who I want to be, And therefore, become who I am” SOUNDS OF LOVE in Movement: Listening to the silence within; breaths’ music connects me deeper; moving with the elements; asking for messages; Sensing sensations; Feeling Oneness; I AM LOVE.
